'I Will Never Forget these Scenes' is based on the story of Wilhelm Brasse, a Polish political prisoner at Auschwitz. From 1940-1945 Brasse, a pre-war photographer, was put to work in the camp's photographic studio and darkrooms. In January 1945 as the Nazis fled, he defied the orders of the SS men and saved hundreds of prisoners' identity photographs that now serve as vital evidence.
